General conditions of renting house
1) LETTING
Bookings are made as agents for the owner of the property
at the prices indicated in the price list which accompanies
the property’s informations. Bookings can be made through
the e-mail info@holidayhouseinitaly.it
2) PAYMENTS AND RENTAL CONFIRMATION
As soon as we receive the booking, we will inform the owner
of the property that will contact you directly or through
our company for any other information you will need.
The booking becomes a confirmed reservation after the payment
of the down payment. After the payment of the balance we will send
you a rental confirmation telling you how to reach the property,
the name and the phone number of both the owner and the caretaker
and instructions on where you will meet them.
3) MINIMUM RENTING PERIOD
The minimum letting period is generally one week, from Saturday
to Saturday, but some properties arrange different period
such as days.
4) ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrival: Saturday between 3.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. Departure:
Saturday between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Every change of
arrival date and arrival time must be communicated to owner
of the house. When the client is arriving, at least one hour
before, he will call the owner in order to meet him at the
meeting point. On arrival the client must show the rental
confirmation and give a photocopy of passport or identity card
to the owner or his representative to enable them to proceed
with the necessary registrations requested by Italian law.
When the keys are handed over to the client, the security deposit,
as stipulated in the property description, must be paid to
the owner or is rappresentative.
5) CLEANING
At the client’s arrival, the properties are cleaned
and ready to be used. The client is obliged to hand over,
at the end of the letting period, the amount due, if this
is shown in the price list of the rented house for the cleaning
of the property. This amount does not, however, include the
cleaning of the kitchenette with regard to dirty dishes, nor
the removal of rubbish, which are the customer's responsibility.
6) CANCELLATION CHARGES
In the event of cancellation of a booking, even if it is substituted
by another one, a penalty must be paid as follows: if the
cancellation is made after the payment of the deposit of 25%, or 30% depending on properties,
of the letting price (down payment), this amount will not
be returned; if the cancellation is made from the day of payment
of balance (at least 60 days before the arrival date) within
the day before the start of the letting period the penalty
is 100% of the letting price.
7) RESPONSIBILITY
Our organization collects the bookings as agents for the owner of the property.
We're not be liable for any actions, injuries, damages, loss, during your stay
at Villa/apartments. For any claims you have to contact the owner directly or
trough our organization before, and no later the rental period, otherwise the guest
will loose any rights to compensation. We are not responsible for any delays,
or expenses arising out of or resulting from any of the following:
any act or omission of any third-party contractor supplying services on your trip,
including but not limited to transportation, hotel, food, or sightseeing services;
strikes; the failure of any means of transportation to arrive or depart as scheduled
Our organization has visited and checked each property. The descriptions appearing
on the web site are accurate and have been done in good faith.
We decline all responsibility for any modifications made by
the owners without our knowledge. In the event of any problems,
the owner will try to do his best to solve or minimize them
in order to avoid the prejudice that may result. The client
must immediately get in touch with the owner of the rented
house in order to resolve the problem.
The properties choosen by our organization are not official tourist
structures, but private houses and they reflect the local way of life
of the owners, so it is important that you know this in order to
appreciate the houses.
8) JURISDICTION
In the event of controversy arising from the booking and the
letting, only provisions of Italian Civil Law can deal with
the matter and only Italian law applies. Making the booking
implies that the General Conditions upon have been understood
and have been accepted without reserve and without
exception.
